Trends & Technology

Title – Trends, Technology and Taking the Lead

Technology has become the tip of the spear for organizational success. Technology is simply a tool, but in the right hands, it can almost be magical in its ability to give us new capabilities. For this reason, it is critical to understand how technology can be fully leveraged in order to drive top-line revenues, or lower bottom-line costs. This talk is both thought provoking and practical. Andrew combines highlighting a handful of trends that people might be aware of, and adds a few over the horizon trends that are completely new. Andrew delivers practical technology tools and concepts that can be used as soon the attendees get back to the office, plus insights on how to create fertile ground for technology adoption in their organizations, which leads to profit amplification and grabbing market share from the competition. In the end Andrew’s message, delivered in his engaging and entertaining style, will create context for many of the words and concepts that executives have heard about but are still struggling to apply.

  • Best Audience – This is a general talk that works for any audience. Andrew will customize this talk for the industry he is speaking to so that the trends discussed are specifically appropriate for the listeners.
  • Position in the Event – This talk can be constructed to be a good opening session, or adjusted to create an inspirational send off at the end of a conference. It can be one to three hours depending on how many concepts Andrew covers and how deeply he goes into each one.

Title – Engaging Today’s Tech-Savvy, High Expectations Customer

Every organization has constituents they serve, or sell to and those constituents do not behave like they did even five years ago. Connected people, devices, and intelligences are converging at an accelerating rate and are completely redefining how we find, build relationships with and sell to customers. They now expect to be able to find and acquire products and services at the touch of a button. Customers now have the power to shape the reputations of any brand or product with their online comments. This means organizations can no longer simply “sell” to customers. Instead, new connections must be made in ways that create value in their lives. Even with great products and services, brands that fail to do this will slowly lose out to competitors who build relationships faster and deeper; those who understand the customer journey and optimize and personalize it at every touch point will win. Based his ongoing experiences consulting with a broad range of clients who are winning in the market today by building a digital revenue engine to deliver top and bottom line results, Andrew will deliver the formulas audiences can take home right away and deploy.

  • Best Audience – This presentation is best for any audience that deals in business-to-consumer or business-to-business sales. The only audience it would not work for is government or education.
  • Position in the Event – This presentation is a good fit in any place in an event. It can be made funny and entertaining, or highly practical and informational.

Futurist/Strategy

Title – The Melding of Man & Machine

As human beings, we are in an era where technology is systematically integrating more and more into our lives. The role that technology is now playing has a huge impact on our quality of life, and our careers. The impact of technology over the next 50 years and how it will integrate into our lives and even into our bodies will be staggering. This presentation examines ten ways technology will integrate into our lives. Executives will be able to take the futuristic views and extrapolated trends and apply them to their current strategies.

  • Best Audience – This talk is best targeted at executives that think they have heard it all, or general audiences that hear lots of speakers every year.
  • Position in the Event – Because this talk is meant to be very thought provoking, it can be used as an opening speech to get people thinking, or as a change of pace in the middle of a conference. It is best delivered between ninety minutes to two hours.

Title – A Technology-Infused Leader (High Beam Leadership)

There are thousands of leadership books out on the market, and what all of them seem to be missing is any discussion of what a leader now needs to know about technology in order to be effective going forward. We now have several generations of leaders at the helm who did not grow up with technology and really have no idea how to leverage it or manage the people that do. Even the executive who is tech savvy personally may not have a clear picture of how to use technology effectively in the business. This talk is a very practical discussion of a handful of new concepts and ideas to help orient leaders to what they now must be able to do well in order to lead effectively in the age of exponential technology growth. This includes developing a better ability to see into the future, leveraging technology holistically to create a digital revenue engine, and maturing the institutional culture of the organization so that the younger technology savvy generations can prosper.

  • Best Audience – This session is specifically targeted at the C-Suite and executives. It is best delivered to high level people who are open to learning new ways of leading, and who understand they must continue to grow in order to be effective leaders.
  • Position in the Event– This keynote can be presented anywhere in a conference because it can be easily adjusted to be more entertaining, or inspirational for an opening session or closing session. It can also just be one of the middle keynotes to provide useful and practical content and create meaningful value to executives.

Andrew’s A/V & Room Spec Request Sheet

The following is a list of room & A/V preferences. Please know these are flexible if there are extenuating circumstances.

Staging

Andrew will use his laptop from the stage, so a podium or table is needed, along with a stable Internet Connection.

Microphone

Andrew will use his own laptop because he often has music and video files that would not be easy to move to another computer. He uses a Mac Book Pro. An LCD projector system compatible with a Mac computer is required, as well.

Andrew uses “Keynote” to create his media presentation and often works on it up until the last minute, because of the way he often customizes them for the audience. For these reasons, he is not able to send his slides in advance. Please let us know if you have any deadlines for materials, so we can do our best to meet them.

Recording

We encourage video recording for archival purposes, but a separate agreement is required and a licensing fee may apply, depending on how you plan to use the recording after the event. If you plan to record any portion of Andrew’s presentation, please call our office to request a Recording Agreement.

Other

Sometimes Andrew conducts a brief Digital Maturity Assessment (DMA) of an audience prior to presenting as a way to tailor his talk to the specific audience in the room. Participants receive a copy of their responses and a score that they can use. Please let us know in advance if you’d like have your audience complete the DMA.

Event Filler Options:

Andrew offers various time “filler” options as add-ons to pass the time, buffer between anchor presentations, and provide the most value for every minute your attendees spend at your event. These options include short training videos, vendor skype-ins, and expanded case studies. Please inquire here if you would like to discuss Andrew working one of these options into his time slot.
